Hello, my name is Tim Foster, the Indiana USSSA State Director for fast pitch. I have been involved with girl’s fast pitch for over 20 years and a State Director the past eight years. Before becoming the USSSA State Director, I worked for another organization as their State Director. I also served as the USSSA UIC from 2001 until 2008.
I am married to my wife Jennifer and we have three kids, a son Chris, daughters Macey and Raegyn and one grandchild Brynlee
I started as an umpire on the field and grew to love this sport the more I was around it. Now having two girls that play this sport, makes me even more involved as I get to see the other side; the side of a parent.
I played softball for numerous years myself before retiring in 2004. I was blessed to win a State Championship in 1998 in slow pitch along with a National A runner up in 2004.
My vision is to build this program in Indiana to be the best of the best, where teams can come play, compete against great competition at all levels A, B, C, All Stars or USA Elite. I want these girls to feel when leaving a USSSA tournament, regardless of their classification, that we as an organization made them feel that all girls are important. We want them to enjoy the best experience possible.
I feel one of my assets is that, I listen to teams, understand their concerns and that I just don’t listen and let it go on deaf ears. I feel that I am a good leader that when I make mistakes I can own up to them and learn from them and grow from those mistakes.
When I walk away and retire, I want to be remembered for, is a guy who gave his all to make it better for every kid that played.
