Well as I stated last week, we had some great news coming from USSSA and today I am glad to have the opportunity to welcome our newest Director on board, as Lisa Pinkston has accepted a position to run her events that are Softball Prep Events under the USSSA umbrella.

Lisa brings her experience as a player at a major D1 school, coach, and trainer to USSSA. We are very excited to continue to bring on young ladies to help with USSSA that have played and given so much to this sport. I have included a short biography of Lisa and some statements she made on being hired. Please help me welcome Lisa to the USSSA team.

Lisa Pinkston grew up playing softball in Louisville, Ky where she was an All-State catcher and was inducted into the Kentucky High School Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a player. Lisa Pinkston played at the University of Louisville where she was a four- year team captain and starting catcher and graduated in 2003. Lisa served as the Director of Softball Operations for the University of Louisville from 2010-2015. Lisa left the University of Louisville to start her business Softball Preps which host camps/clinics, private instruction and is a tournament provider in the Louisville, KY/Southern Indiana metro area. Lisa is currently the Head Softball Coach at Assumption High School and the Vice President of Indiana Fusion Elite travel softball organization. Lisa is also a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

“I am excited about joining USSSA to continue to provide opportunities for players in our area to play on a bigger stage. My passion is helping young ladies reach their highest potential and to compete at the highest level possible. I feel like it is our responsibility to continue to grow softball and to give back to the game that has given us so much. There are no greater lessons in life than what athletics can teach. We look forward to bringing in teams from beyond IN/KY to play in our USSSA Softball Preps Events.

Again, we are as excited about Lisa becoming a family member to our USSSA team and we wish her great success this coming season. You can view all Lisa’s events at USSSA.Com Welcome aboard Lisa!
